  Paul De Cola

Date of Birth: May 28, 1962
Department: Customer Service, Infrastructure

Paul was a hardworking perfectionist who gave his all at whatever he did. He was an avid electronic hobbyist who was always working on a new project. He was passionate about technology. A faithful spouse and a good father and non-compromising in his beliefs. He is sorely missed by his family.

  • Like the many who had the pleasure of working with this fine gentleman, I’ll always remember Paul for his pleasant manner and professionalism. His hectic work schedule always amazed me in that he was always in motion-visiting our customers one after another. This pace, true to his character, never seemed to faze him-in that I sensed he enjoyed the people portion of his job.

Like countless others, we all miss Paul for his profound kindness and friendship. My god bless those he loved and cherished.

  • I worked directly with Paulie everyday, sat in the same room. He was such a great help with any problem we had, his technical experience was the best. He knew his job and knew it well. I only knew Paul for a year, but what I did find out about him was how he adored his family and his wife’s cooking. Before he left the office everyday he would make a point to let us know what he was having for dinner. “Wednesday’s Pasta and Meatballs”. Paul we miss you terribly, you were a special guy, so dedicated to your work and family. Remember how we would poke fun at you and Maria for wearing the same color shirt, Ha ha. We had some laughs. Once again, Thank You for all your help, I’ve learned a lot. I will pray for your family, that you will give them the strength to pull through this. GOD BLESS YOU.

P.S I miss your homemade chocolate chip cookies…

    Love Helen

  • From the day I started working at Cantor, I knew Paul was dedicated, professional and energetic at what he did. I remembered his pre-dawn visits to McDonalds and with coffee in hand, was ready to take on the day ahead. To me, Paul was the solid state man. Many times, he would shared his immense knowledge of microchips and wafers to me and every time I would be overwhelmed by how much he knew. I know your dream was to be in this field and I am very saddened you are not here to fulfill it. Your ethusiasm will live in all of us. You will be truly missed. May GOD watch over your family and protect them from harm’s way.

Hey Paul, what about those ball-semis?

  • I’ve lived with Paul and his family in the same neighborhood for many years. I would regularly see his wife and son out together doing various things. He was a very devoted husband and father, and will truly be missed. I pray for his wife and son.

  • Paul,

What is there to say except I wish you were still here. Paul had the most calming affect on people, regardless of how stressful the situation was Paul always remained calm. He was able to handle the most irate clients and assure them he would get the problem resolved. It always helps to be around someone like Paul, he makes others feel like they can always resolve the issues at hand if they stay calm.

To his wife and son I would like to send my condolences. I am truly sorry for your loss. To Paul’s son I would like to say your dad spoke of you often and was very proud of you. We always shared ‘son’ stories.

  • I remember meeting Paul when I first started at Cantor. He showed me the ropes on one of Cantor’s products, so I dubbed him the “API man.” He was always professional and never lost his cool when dealing with customers and their problems. Paul would get so excited when he called us to check on a problem; everyone in the room could hear him on the phone. He always spoke of going home and having dinner with his family. We miss you Paul…..my heart goes out to your family.

  • I still miss you and think of you everyday, despite recently getting remarried. Nobody can or will ever replace you in my heart, or our son Peter’s. I hope you are in a place of peace, comfort and rest.
    Love always,
    Gina

  • Paul made my mornings. After a long haul on night shift in the NCC, Paul would come in, jump on a chair and yell at the top of his lungs. He was full of enthusiasm, cheer, and love for his family. He was the first person I thought of when I watched the attacks that morning. Rest in peace my friend.
