  • Dear Anya, on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 I read what you told the New York Times about ‘Dobriy’ many years ago. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope that some of Aleksandr stays in your heart forever. Blessings,

  • I never knew you. But I read your brief bio and your wife’s touching words later in 2001.

I remember you and your wife every September 11, and have done so for the last 20 years.

You will not fade away. Rest in peace.

  • I read Aleksandr’s story for the 20th anniversary of 9/11. He must have been a really smart guy, getting so young a job like that, leaving a country in Siberia for a better life.
I imagine his enthusiasm, his plans for the future, his dreams. This is so heart breaking.

May his memory and his spirit give strength to his loved ones.

    Rest in peace <3
