  • Fred was many things to many people; a husband, a son, a father, a brother-in-law, a best friend, an amazing sailor and skier, and most recently a Grandpa. All who had the privilege to know him have the benefit of beautiful life-long memories and will always remember his immeasurable love.

An unimaginable sense of loss and confusion has followed Fred’s harsh and unexpected departure from our world. It is impossible to make sense of this tragic event. However, one thing he would want is to carry on with our lives while keeping his love close to our hearts. To remember Fred is to remember that life should be enjoyed. He taught us, that every moment on this earth with our family and friends is a true gift and blessing, not always easy, but a blessing none the less. When you think of Dad remember his tooth baring, ear to ear smile, that made people want to roll up the living room carpet, cut your work suit into shorts and a t-shirt and dance with your closest friends to “Proud Mary”.

Fred was an amazing father and husband. Speaking for his children, we are blessed to have grown up with him as our guide and protector. Fred will be missed every second of every day, but his memory and love will continue in the minds and hearts of his family and friends.

Thank you to everyone who has offered a helping hand, heart and prayer.

  • Fred,

We miss your warm smile, which was only outdone by your warm heart. We’re sure you are sailing along somewhere with a cigar in one hand, a scotch in the other and the bagpipes ringing in the air.

God bless and watch over you and your wonderful family.

  • Rob,

I am so sorry to hear about your father. It is such a horrible, senseless tragedy. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
