John Douglas Oswald, 28, was born December 18, 1972 in Chicago, IL. Jason was the son of Ken and Jane Oswald of Merrill, WI and the brother of Jennifer Oswald of Houston, TX.
Jason graduated from McCullough High School, Spring, TX in 1991. He went on to complete his undergraduate degree at Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL in 1995. We as a family will greatly miss him, but rejoice that he is now with the Lord.

  • Jason not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. Your smiling face, your laughter, your kindness and love for your family and friends.
I’ll always love you and you will never be alone. Someday we will be together again. I miss you and I’ll love you always. You will forever be in my heart.
    All My Love,

  • I lived across the street from the Oswalds when Jason and Jennifer were growing up and used to babysit them on occasion. I remember Jason as an exuberant person who loved to laugh. I am greatly saddened by his passing and hope the Lord provides comfort to all of his family and friends.

  • Dear Mr and Mrs Oswald,

I know that this time of year is likely to be very difficult for you as I noticed Jason’s birthday is in the same month as mine,December. I felt compelled to say that even though 6 years have passed since that terrible day, there are many many people who share the pain and grief of the loved ones the victims left behind on that tragic day. We remember you all at this time of year. Jason is looking over both you from above with the Lord Jesus. I pray your healing will continue.God Bless you both

  • Jason visited with us and stayed over often during his years at Wheaton. He became like a brother to our son, Jonathan, and like a son to us. Ten years have passed since we lost him, but our memories of him and the many good times we shared will always be with us.

Patricia Swindle, Mother of one of Jason's college friends
  • Jason your life was taken too soon. OTTS GARAGE, in Merrill WI is dedicated to your memory. The town’s youth groups meet there and have concerts. It’s a needed place for youth. Rest in Peace.
