To My Darling Joshua,

You will always be the love of my life and your memory will live on inside my heart forever. I truly believe that you were a “precious gift” given to me. I thank God that I was blessed to have the opportunity to love you, and even more blessed to have been loved by you. I promise baby that I will live for the two of us because I know your spirit, soul, and love will carry me through. Thank you Josh, from the bottom of my heart.

Loving you forever,

Ina Weintraub, Fiancee
  • Ina always spoke of you as being the wonderful gift in her life. She used the kindest words to describe you (and still does). The excitement when she referred to you was contagious. We knew she had found someone very special. Thank you for being the light in Ina’s life and for giving her such happiness. Even now I can look into her eyes and see the impact you have made. I am certain she will carry with her your strength, love, compassion and zest for life. You will always be remembered…by your family, your friends and by those who never met you but whose lives you have touched. To Josh’s family, my deepest sympathies.

  • Josh,

I never stopped to think how much you were a part of my life. Things will never be the same without you: sports, entertainment, or just getting a drink with the boys, those things have all changed for me. Your absence makes everything different and all I can do is be thankful for the time that you were in my life.

I wish I could do something to bring you back for Ina and your family, they have suffered a loss no person should have to endure. With every day that passes we all heal a little and progress some, though it’s hard to accept that you’re never coming back to us. Please know that the time you spent here has affected so many lives in such a positive way. You will be a part of my life forever. It’s difficult for me to try to find the words to explain how many things you meant to me. We put in a lot of hours together, and you are irreplaceable. You will be my best friend for the rest of my life and the time we spent together will always feel like yesterday. I know you are in a better place than this messed up world, and when I get there we’ll talk about how many more World Series’ the Yankees have won, why Shaq is so dominating, and how big blue’s D-fence is doing.

    I love you bro,

    Mike

  • Many words and feelings were left unsaid. I was waiting for your wedding to toast to you and Ina in front of all of your family and friends. I never got to say how I was proud of the man you were, ecstatic that you were going to marry my best friend, how you and Dave had a one of a kind friendship that can never be replaced, how I could not wait to spend the future with you and Ina and do all of the things the four of us had planned. I never realized how lucky we were and couldn’t have imagined the empitiness that has entered our lives. The thoughts of what could have, should have been are never far from my heart. I miss you and wish you were here with us. I love you DUDE! Love D

  • Josh…Joshy…JV…What can I say? You have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. We met when we were 5 years old and have been friends ever since. I just want you to know how much I genuinely respected you as a person and how I admired the man you had become. I am proud of your many accomplishments and successes. I am truly thankful for the 23 years of friendship we shared and I will cherish the memories I have of you forever. I know you are always with us and I smile and think of you every time I hear Billy Joel on the radio! Thanks man, for taking me to the prom!! I love you and will miss you forever.

  • Dear Josh,
Although we were only beginning to get to know you, what we did know was how bright, funny and caring you were. You made Ina shine like we never saw and you taught her to never settle on love. For that we will always be greatful for and we will carry you in our hearts and prayers.

  • To the friends and family of Josh Vitale,

On this the second anniversary of 9-11, I wanted to let you know that you are all in my prayers as I know a loss this big will never be forgotten.
I pray that you will heal and that the memory of Josh will bring you great joy, not sorrow.

Thank you Josh for being a part of something that brought the American family together.

    Sincerely,

  • I have always wondered for whom the street near my home was named for. I came across this by pure coincidence. Thanks for filling in the blanks. I hope that time has healed some wounds for you all. I pray for you and all the victims and their families of September 11th, 2001.
