Jane Baeszler Date of Birth: January 2, 1958 Department: Municipal Brokerage Department Position: Municipal Bond Broker Jane Ellen Baeszler was not only a devoted and committed broker at Cantor Fitzgerald, she was also devoted to her family as well. Ms. Baeszler was a graduate of St. Peter’s Girls High School, where she was a member of the Drama Club. Her performances and love of song and dance carried over into her family life. She frequently played musical selections on the piano and always had the family dancing the night away. She earned an associates degree from the College of Staten Island, and also attended Nursing School at St. Vincent’s before entering the brokerage world in lower Manhattan. She enjoyed the trip into the city and frequently commented about the friends on the Staten Island Ferry. Many people, even strangers seemed to gravitate to Jane Ellen. Her warmth, Kindness and genuine concern about others were the cornerstones of her life. She loved belonging to a large family and took every opportunity to boast about their accomplishments and how much they meant to her. Yet, with all the boasting, she never spoke of herself. Everyone else always came first and this in and of itself is the true tribute to an extraordinary young woman. She is survived by her mother, Rita and her brothers John and Joseph Baeszler. Jane’s father Joseph David Baeszler Jr. a retired chief’s aide with the FDNY died in 1997. She’s also survived by her sister-in-law Annie and her two nieces and nephew. Annie, Laurie, Molly and Patrick. God Bless our beloved Jane Ellen.

Jane……always laughing….always happy…. never said negative things about anyone….Jane filled gaps in many people’s lives….Jane touched many people’s hearts….Jane was taken too soon….but her laughter will never fade….and her strength will live on in those she left behind….listen for her laughter, look for her smile….they will be in your memory and heart forever, and can never be taken….keep singing and dancing….and believe that we were all the lucky ones to have known Jane and to have shared in her celebration of life….Rest in Peace Jane Ellen……
Jane was a true professional who knew her job and her market…she was fearless in her protection of clients and their interests, yet rigid in her interpretation of the rules of the business and industry. She eschewed attempts to allow the black or white of business practices to blur into shades of gray, yet her caring and concern for the person who was at the other end of the phone line was always evident and obvious. The Municipal Bond industry is a lesser place without her, and the entire industry shares the loss of her with her family.
Jane is simply put, one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, or will ever meet !!!
I only knew Jane from the nail salon and from riding the ferry at the same time every morning.
She was always pleasant and smiling. We would have brief conversations waiting for the boat to dock. She always seemed very pleasant and very nice. I was upset when I heard about her. I miss seeing her face on the ferry.
Jane was the type of person who cared about the people she came in contact with. I’ll always remember how she sent me a get well card when I was recovering from cancer surgery a year ago. She was a very special lady…..
To the Baeszler Family, I have spent much time looking for a way to contact you to offer my condolonces. I’ve searched old phone books of my Mother (Marilyn Pisano) looking for your phone number or address, but to no avail. I can only send you my prayers in this dreaded time. I will always remember Jane and the many good times we spent at our “extended” family get togethers at Aunt Eleanor & Uncle Russ’ house. From my family to yours, may you find peace and comfort knowing what a wonderful girl Jane was and her many accomplishments and talents, and the impact she had on so many people….Joanne
Janey it took 9 years,7 months, 20 days but we got him. You will not be forgotten.
Thinking of you tonight as I have often over the past years. You were such a pro and I always knew you put my interests first. You knew your markets and your clients, and you were a friend. Always a laugh to start and end the day for so many years.
