  Alfred J. Braca

Date of Birth: November 11, 1946
Position: Corporate Bond Broker

There is a lot to be said about Al. He was an incredible dad, husband, and granddaddy. He had an enormous love and dedication towards his family. Al was extremely active at his church where he served as an elder, and a board member.

Al’s time on earth will be remembered as a man who loved the Lord Jesus
Christ with all of his heart. He lived what might be called a “Godly
lifestyle”. Simply meaning that he tried his best to live his life
according to the Bible. So, with all that could be said about him, we
believe that Al would want us to tell the world of the message of the
Gospel of Jesus Christ, and how God came down from heaven in the form of a man to be murdered on a cross just so man can have a relationship with God. Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible says you will live forever. So you see, we believe that right now, Al is very much alive, and even in the midst of a disgusting, and inhumane act like 9-11-01, we choose to Praise God. Simply because He is worthy to be Praised. As hard as it is, God cannot get the blame for what happened on 9/11.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled though the mountains shake with its swelling. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Come, behold the works of the Lord, who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;
He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
Psalm 46 NKJV ( Bible )

    The Braca family,
  • A great man!!

The hardest thing about all of this is how much Al is missed, and yet the greatest thing is that he is now with the one who created him.

Our hope is the Biblical fact that there will be a reunion one day, and we will see Al again.

    Greg Cambeis, Son-in-law
  • I had the great privilege of being the wife of Al Braca. His love and dedication to his family will always be remembered. The love that we shared will continue to grow even now. I will always miss him, and cherish the time that the Lord has given us. I will always treasure his commitment and dedication to God.

The hope I now have is that because of Christ, I will see him again.

    Jean Braca, Wife
  • It can be said that he truly “lived” life!!

Al had tapped into the abundant life that Jesus described is available for all of us. It can be said of Al, as it was said of Enoch, a great saint of times past, “He walked with God, and he was not; for God took him.” Al has been privileged to be able to go home and be with our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. We can’t wait to get there to be with them both!!

    Jeff & Naomi Cuozzo, Friends
  • “Faithful Friend,” discribes Al relationally. He was a faithful friend to all, not just me. He was inspirational as a husband and father always thinking unselfishly. He provoked you to “love,” with all his actions. He emulated Jesus Christ which allowed him to accomplish remarkable things with people. Al Braca was a “people” person and not a “things” person, and I’m a better man today because of the influence he had in my life.

Joel D. Leath, Sr., Worship Pastor at the church Al attended
  • FOLLOW ME AS I FOLLOW CHRIST!
AL’S LIFE TRULY REFLECTED THE NATURE OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. PHILIPPIANS 3:17 SAYS “BRETHREN, JOIN IN FOLLOWING MY EXAMPLE, AND NOTE THOSE WHO SO WALK, AS YOU HAVE US FOR A PATTERN” ALSO 2 TIMOTHY 3:7 ” I HAVE FOUGHT THE GOOD FIGHT, I HAVE FINISHED THE RACE, I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH”. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING AL IN HEAVEN WHEN THE LORD CALLS US HOME. MAY WE ALL REFLECT GOD’S LOVE AS HE HAS.

  • Something I never told my brother-in-law Al…

    My Dear Al,

If there was one person that trully knew what I was going through in my life it was you sweetheart and how you were always there for me. You might have though that I didn’t realize it…but I did Al…I did.

I’ll tell you when it was…

It was at Stacyann’s house one holiday. We all decided to have a family therapy session. We were all pouring out our hearts to one another being open and honest. When you spoke in my defense on why I did the things I did, you put it in a way that I could never have done. That’s when the Lord showed me how much you really cared for me. My only regret is that I never told you how much I loved you. You will always be in my heart.

    Love you Al,

    Your favorite sister-in-law,

    Sue

PS – Please tell our Precious Savior to build my mansion next to yours.

    Susan Benedetto, Sister-in-Law
  • On September 11, I lost my loving nephew and friend. I miss him very much.

My nephew was a loving, caring person who was loved by everyone.

I miss him calling from work and saying, “auntie, how are you?” I miss the long automobile rides he used to take us on, and the laughs and the good times we had with him.

Words could never really express how much he really meant to us.

    Aunt Anna, Aunt
  • Al was without question a true “man of God”. He was one of the few men whom I could say was “immovable” in his walk with the Lord. Al’s sense of humor and his smile could put the most trouble mind at ease. He was a man of integrity and one that I can only try to be like on this earth. I think what made him this was was the fact that he was persistent in his goal of trying to please Jesus.
Al was one of the best dads I have ever met. He handled his children with kindness and a loving discipline and his devotion for his wife was more than admirable. I am honored to have called Al a good friend. My wife and I will cherish all the good times we had with Al and Jeannie.

Ed Werthwein, Brother in Christ and good friend
  • “THE WORLD SHOULD KNOW”

As I right this little note about my brother-in-law my heart is filled with joy, some people may say how can you feel joy over such a loss? Only through the love and Grace of Jesus Christ my Savior and Al’s, is the reason I can rejoice. You see, I was Blessed by the Lord who put such a wonderful brother-in-law in my life. He made me laugh and cry at the same time. My Prayer is that all the world will be as Blessed as I was (thank you Lord).

Most of us when someone is taken from us in a tragedy such as this, we all say such things. Some examples would be wonderful, great, good, and the best guy in he world (but do we mean it! Most times it’s just talk) Not this time…IT’S ALL TRUE!!

To know him (my Al) is to love him forever, and I do. I will always have an empty spot in my heart.

I love you Al and I will always miss you.

  • After meeting Jeannie, I can see how special Al was. I’m sorry that I never knew him personally but apparently, Al made an impact on so many people and we rejoice in that! God is good and Al went to see his Master face to face and I’m sure Jesus stood there saying “well done my good and faithful servant”.
God Bless the Braca family and all of his friends and coworkers who loved him so much!

    Lisa, Friend of his wife
  • I did not know Al or any of his family, but after reading all the tributes written here by those who did, I wish I could have known him too. I am a Baptist Pastor, and am preparing a message on Remembering 911 for this coming Sunday 9-8-02.
Al’s life was not only a blessing to you, but to those who did not him. I look forward to meeting him in heaven. My prayers are with you family, and friends.

  • My Tribute is To Remember Al,
who I never met as a man who didn’t care about himself but for the souls who were in that firm with him. I heard he had a prayer meeting with all the people that day. And even though the buildings were on fire he stood up for his Lord and had the people pray that day and make themselves right with God. What a man of God who didn’t put himself first over the needs for other. This world needs men like Al Braca. God Bless This family and may there always be people in this family who know Christ as their Saviour and serve God and win souls In Jesus Name Amen

  • Wow, what a testimony! All I can say is Amen. Thank you for posting such a wonderful message! I lost a family member at the Trade Center, as well as, the Pentagon. We simply have to trust the God makes No Mistakes! I am sure that so many people have received our Lord and Christ through Mr. Braca’s testimony and the events that led to his home-going! If one soul has been saved through this wonderful man’s testimony, I’m sure he would say it was worth it! I pray that God Himself will Bless and Keep Mr. Braca’s family in HIS Loving Care until they are united once again in Heaven.
