  Joseph A. LaFalce

Date of Birth: March 24, 1947
Department: Operations

Joe was a very quiet, mild mannered human being. He was a dedicated worker, hard working and always eager to learn something new. He spent all of his working life on Wall Street working for Kidder Peabody for over twenty five years and finally at Cantor Fitzgerald. He loved the work and loved the people he worked with. He was the type of guy you could rely on for any help that was needed.

I can still remember that little boy that I tried to protect when we were little. It’s hard to comprehend this turn of fate that was handed him; he deserved much more.

Joe was the last member of my immediate family as there are no other siblings. All I have now is lots of good memories of the time we spent
together as children and as adults. He will be in my heart forever and will be greatly missed.

Rest in Peace Joe…Mom and Dad are waiting for you.

Dominick LaFalce, Brother

  • Dear Dominick,
I am so sorry for your loss. Joe was a truly wonderful person. Even during the most stressful days at work Joe always found the time to say hello and ask how my day was going. Joe would always try to make me feel better even on a difficult day with a silly joke or comment. Joe will always be missed along with so many other wonderful people lost to us on that fateful day. May God bless you always and may you find comfort in knowing that we will not let Joe be forgotten.

    Love,
    Carol

  • Joe:
It has been a year since you were taken from us. We all miss you a great deal including your Grand Neice Rebecca Katherine, who will never have the chance to know or love you.

Your friends worked very hard and got a Race named after you at Belmont Park on May 18th. All your friends attanded with their families to join our family to honor you.

I was at the Trade Center on Wednesday the 11th and got a look at the devastation brought upon us. I could feel that your spirit was with me that day, as your name was read aloud for all the world to hear.

I attended a very moving memorial service held in Central Park by Your Company for you and all your co-workers lost that fateful day. You are well remembered by them and along with the other souls are greatly missed.

You will never be forgotten and will be in my Heart and prayers for as long as I live.

God bless you, my only Brother, Rest in peace with God and his angels.

Say hello to Mom and Dad for me I miss you all so much.

    Until we meet again,

  • Dear Dominick,
As you know, I had the pleasure of knowing Joe while each of us worked at Verizon. I remember telephoning the Brooklyn office and speaking to Joe each time I needed some information. I will always remember his friendly manner and valuable assistance. Be assured that Joe will never be forgotten by those whose lives he touched. He will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

  • Joe:
It has been two years since you were taken from us. Rest assured that you will not be forgotten. I attended the two year memorial ceremony at the Trade Center site. It has changed somewhat. Your nephew Peter and I brought you flowers and I left your picture there.

Your company Cantor Fitzgerald held another very moving memorial to you and your fellow co-workers lost that fateful day. They have not forgotten you and the others lost.

I went to the Medical Examiner’s office on the 12th of September and they have so far not been able to identify you. I sure hope thay can, I would like to bring you home to us.

Arrangements have been made at our family plot to memorialize you. The world needs to know of you.

God bless you and kiss Mom & Dad for me.

    Until we meet again,

    Dom

  • Joe:

That time of year has come again. The third anniversary of the tragedy which took you away is upon us again.

I attended the memorial service at the World Trade Center site and once again I cried at your loss. The trade center is rapidly changing and I don’t know if there will be a service next year the way we have had in the past.

I placed flowers and your picture at the site of the building where you worked and died I hope you know how much you are missed.

Your Company Cantor Fitzgerald had another very moving memorial service for you and the others lost. You have not been forgotten by all still here in this life.

God bless and keep you by his side.

    Until we meet again,

    Your Brother Dom
