Francis Noel McGuinn Date of Birth: December 25, 1952 ~A letter to my dear husband~ A father, a son, a brother, a son-in-law, a friend, As each day passes, I hurt a little bit less and love you even more. Every day our children remember you. They cherish all the memories of the times they spent with you and often ask God how people could be so cruel as to take you away from them. I am grateful, however, that those memories are alive and well and are keeping the children surrounded with your love. They miss you madly, especially when math is part of the homework assignment or there is a bad boo-boo that needs your special healing touch. Most of all they miss singing and dancing with you in the living room and the way you made them feel like the most important, most special, most beautiful, and most talented girls in the world. I wanted to tell you one more time, how very proud I was to be your wife. Your incredible ability to turn a dream into reality gave me hope. You had the ability to do what seemed impossible, almost all the time. I respected your clarity of purpose and intention that you metered with kindness and generosity. You were a man of action, so enthused with life that each day you were able to learn and grow. Your commitment to excellence in any task was inspiring and often left me breathless and in awe. You created the relationships, experiences and results that enhanced your life and then, in turn, you enhanced the lives of those around you. I believe that your example of strength, character and courage were your special gifts and I thank you for sharing them with me. You understood that a whole and healthy family is life’s greatest treasure; I will keep that intact and in my heart. Although your dream has been shattered by circumstance, know that I carry it forward with prudence, justice, temperance, fortitude, faith, hope and love.
