Stuart Todd Meltzer Date of Birth: October 11, 1968 Position: Energy Broker Stuart lives on in our hearts. He lives for Lisa, his wife, in the eyes and smiles of his sons, Jake & Dylan. He lives for his parents in the memories of an intense little boy who would eventually grow into an intelligent, focused, fiery personality. He lives for his brothers, Larry and Kenny at the Red Sox Games where they shared so many hot dogs, home runs, and laughs. We will miss his dry wit and loving heart. And yet, as long as we remember, he lives on…. The Meltzer Family Fund has been established to benefit the education of his sons, Jacob & Dylan Meltzer, and contributions can be sent care of his brother, Larry Meltzer, 6 Lowell court, Teaneck, NJ 07666. “Grief ebbs but grief never ends. Death ends a life but death does not end a relationship. If we allow ourselves to be still and if we take responsibility for our grief, the grief becomes as polished and luminous and mysterious as death itself. When it does, we learn to love anew, not only the one who has died. We learn to love anew those who yet live.” –Julius Lester

Sean Peter McNulty Date of Birth: July 21, 1971 Department: ITD As Sean’s Mom, I of course am very biased. He was a beautiful boy and grew into a loving, joyful man. What you saw was what you got. Sean did not play games with people. He accepted everyone right where they were. He had a generous view of the world/people. When I close my eyes and see Sean’s big happy face, a warm smile washes over me. To me he will always be like a twinkling star… that brings warmth to my heart and a smile to my face. Thank you Sean!

Francis Noel McGuinn Date of Birth: December 25, 1952 ~A letter to my dear husband~ A father, a son, a brother, a son-in-law, a friend, As each day passes, I hurt a little bit less and love you even more. Every day our children remember you. They cherish all the memories of the times they spent with you and often ask God how people could be so cruel as to take you away from them. I am grateful, however, that those memories are alive and well and are keeping the children surrounded with your love. They miss you madly, especially when math is part of the homework assignment or there is a bad boo-boo that needs your special healing touch. Most of all they miss singing and dancing with you in the living room and the way you made them feel like the most important, most special, most beautiful, and most talented girls in the world. I wanted to tell you one more time, how very proud I was to be your wife. Your incredible ability to turn a dream into reality gave me hope. You had the ability to do what seemed impossible, almost all the time. I respected your clarity of purpose and intention that you metered with kindness and generosity. You were a man of action, so enthused with life that each day you were able to learn and grow. Your commitment to excellence in any task was inspiring and often left me breathless and in awe. You created the relationships, experiences and results that enhanced your life and then, in turn, you enhanced the lives of those around you. I believe that your example of strength, character and courage were your special gifts and I thank you for sharing them with me. You understood that a whole and healthy family is life’s greatest treasure; I will keep that intact and in my heart. Although your dream has been shattered by circumstance, know that I carry it forward with prudence, justice, temperance, fortitude, faith, hope and love.

Robert McCarthy Date of Birth: June 29, 1968 Position: OTC trader Rob was the most caring man I ever met. If someone was upset, you could always count on Rob to cheer you up. On August 26, 2001, our son, Shane Robert was born. I believe this was the happiest day of Robs life. He was looking so forward to becoming a father. He was wonderful with children. Always made them laugh. For the two weeks he had to spend with Shane, he was a great dad. He would come home from work and lay on the couch and Shane would lay right next to him. They slept in exactly the same position, it was amazing. Rob loved life, he had so many plans for the future, so many things he wanted to do. He worked hard his whole life to have a future for our family. He had a brand new home in which he was so proud. He loved working in and around the house. He loved to cook. He was a great cook. His brother-in-law, Gerald O’Leary, who was also killed in the disaster, was a chef. They would always share ideas for a great meal. Rob attended Manhattan College, with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. He loved his job, he loved the excitement that came with it. Life was becoming exactly what he wanted it to become. He had a wife who loved him more than anything, a new home, a great job, and a brand new baby boy. Life was perfect.

Justin McCarthy Date of Birth: September 19, 1971 Position: Assistant Equities Trader Justin was just one week shy of his 30th birthday. He graduated from The Harvey School in Westchester, NY and then from Hofstra University. He loved working at Cantor and his career was soaring. He planned to marry Megan Cromer next August. On the Sunday before September 11th, Justin played golf with his dad, Dennis, then picked up his fiancée and soon to be adopted son, two-year-old Matthew, and joined his mom at the ocean. He saw his family. Justin told me that day, “Mom, I have it all.” Justin’s family holds close to their heart his beautiful smile, sense of humor and creative mind. Justin loved golf, fly- fishing, shark fishing and sculpting. He was an artist as well as math wiz. The loss of this extraordinary man has left his family, relatives, friends and fiancée with broken hearts. His Mom, Bet McCarthy

Jennifer Mazzotta Date of Birth: April 12, 1978 Department: Operations I sit here today to reflect on my beautiful daughter and all the joy she brought everyone she touched. Jennifer is the oldest of my three children and has been an inspiration to us all. Since Jennifer started walking at the age of eight and a half months there was no stopping her. Always a quick learner and independent. Her brother and sister were very close to Jennifer and they were always there for each other. Jennifer was the first one in the family to graduate college, something she was very proud of as well as her family. Jennifer always set goals in her life and planned everything. She always said she going to make something of herself, and she did. She was so proud of her job at Cantor Fitzgerald and was determined to move up quickly in the company. She was with the company for a little over a year, right after she graduated St. Joseph College in Brooklyn in 2000. Jennifer and her fiance Anthony Roman were ready to plan their Wedding Day now that she had her career started and he was in the police academy. They were together almost six years. Their first big date was Jennifer’s High School prom; she graduated from Grover Cleveland High School. Jennifer and Anthony were inseparable, a beautiful couple that planned and worked so hard for their future together. Besides being a loving daughter, sister and fiancee Jennifer also acquired many friends in her life. Her best friend Catherine Browne and Jennifer were like sisters more than friends and is deeply missed by her. Wherever Jenn went she made friends along the way. She also made dear friends at Cantor, especially Christina who has also now been there for me when I needed to talk to someone; she was always there to listen. In closing, let me say this is the hardest thing I will ever have to do. Words could not express how I miss you Jennifer. I know I’ve always told you how proud I am of you and how much I love you but I wish I had one more day to tell you again. To let you know that you are an inspiration to us all for all you accomplished. Jennifer is also missed by her grandfather, grandmother, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, her godchild Kayla, and especially her brother-in-law John Bonetti and Alyssa Bonetti, Jennifer’s first niece, whom she never got to see. Till I’m with you again your love and your memories will be forever in my heart. Love, Mom and Dad

Edward Mazzella Jr Date of Birth: March 26, 1939 Department: Equity Sales Position: Senior Vice President Ed Mazzella was sixty-two and lived in Monroe for the past thirty years. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. We were married for forty years this past February 11th. He was my life and now all I have left are the memories. I have an ache in my heart that will never go away. We have two wonderful children and four beautiful grandchildren. He adored them all and would do anything for his family and his friends. Ed worked on Wall Street for forty years. Clients became his lifelong friends. He truly enjoyed going to work each day but was looking forward to retiring on September 14th. Kay Mazzella, wife Other than his family his two great passions were golf and watercolor painting. His golf game improved this past year and on September 2nd, he won his flight in the club championship on the first playoff hole. His paintings were enjoyed by all who viewed them and many are proudly displayed in the homes of family and friends. Perhaps his greatest talent was the ability to share a conversation. In the days following September 11th, our family received many cards and letters from people expressing their sympathy and relating how he left a lasting impression on them. The most memorable of these are from people he met briefly, the man who installed his satellite dish or the young girl from the catering company who helped serve Christmas dinner at our home. A day doesn’t go by that we don’t think of him. We have a void in our hearts that is immeasurable. He was the core of our family. We still gather for holidays and family occasions but an emptiness remains among us. In the days ahead we have many hills to climb but we know his guidance will always be with us showing us the way. Michael and Patricia Mazzella (son and daughter-in-law) Susan and Matthew Brannigan (daughter and son-in-law)
